Jon Bon Jovi - Always

Jon Bon Jovi has been a female heartthrob since his early days. He has several hits that have topped the charts throughout the decades. Most of his music is very classy and sentimental while others have been called racy.

Now if you're a fan of Bon Jovi, you've seen the music video to his hit Always. He wrote that himself! If you've watched the video you'll notice that the relationship in it goes wrong on many different levels, but is that truly what the song is about? You'll find the lyrics to the song and the video at the bottom of this post, all rights to Mr. Bon Jovi of course.

It's time to give our take on what the lyrics to this song truly stand for, a breakdown if you please.

"This Romeo is bleeding
But you can't see his blood
It's nothing but some feelings
That this old dog kicked up"

The above is the first part of the song. It merely states that he is "Romeo" and his heart is bleeding, but it's not real blood. Then it's followed by ... it's nothing, just my feelings that he brought up. That basically sums that up.

"It's been rainin' since you left me
Now I'm drownin' in the flood
You see I've always been a fighter
But without you I'll give up"

Normally when you lose a love, it seems like depression takes over and everything is rainy, gloomy, and just depressing. When you figure out you cant get over that person so easily, it's like a down pour. This is what Bon Jovi tried to portray in his lyrics. The second stance in this, that he's always been a fighter means he had a reason worth fighting for having his love at his side, but without her he doesnt wish to move further in life but just give up. We can all relate to a lost love that we just felt we couldnt move on without. Well, we did!

He continues into the next verse with explaining that he cant sing a love song like it's meant to be, probably because he's crying and an emotional wreck inside because of the rocky relationship. If you've watched the video, possibly because he made some pretty bad choices and had the lower hand when the relationship went south.

JON BON JOVI - ALWAYS
Songwriter: Jon Bon Jovi

This Romeo is bleeding
But you can't see his blood
It's nothing but some feelings
That this old dog kicked up

It's been rainin' since you left me
Now I'm drownin' in the flood
You see I've always been a fighter
But without you I'll give up

Now I can't sing a love song
Like the way it's meant to be
Well I guess I'm not that good anymore
But baby that's just me

And I will love you baby
Always
And I'll be there forever and a day
Always

I'll be there till the stars don't shine
Till the heavens burst, and the words don't rhyme
I know when I die, you'll be on my mind
And I'll love you Always

Now your pictures that you left behind
Are just memories of a different life
Some that made us laugh, some made us cry
One that made you have to say goodbye

What I'd give to run my fingers through your hair
Touch your lips and hold you near
When you say your prayers try to understand
I've made mistakes, I'm just a man

When he holds you close, he pulls you near
When he says the words you've been needing to hear
I wish I was him 'cause those words are mine
To say to you 'till the end of time

That I will love you baby
Always
And I'll be there forever and a day
Always

I'll be there till the stars don't shine
Till the heavens burst and the words don't rhyme
I know when I die you'll be on my mind
And I'll love you Always

If you told me to cry for you, I could
If you told me to die for you, I would
Take a look at my face
There's no price I won't pay
To say these words to you

Well there ain't no luck with these loaded dice
But baby if you give me just one more try
We can pack up our old dreams and our old lives
We'll find a place, where the sun still shines

Yeah I will love you baby
Always
And I'll be there forever and a day
Always

I'll be there till the stars don't shine
Till the heavens burst and the words don't rhyme
I know when I die you'll be on my mind
And I'll love you always

This blog will feature many artists from several different genres. Not everyone is going to like every single post that we cover, but there will be something for everyone.
